Kilka godzin temu kanadyjski koncern Research In Motion zaprezentował swój najnowszy tablet internetowyBlackBerry PlayBook 4G. Wraz z nim została udostępniona najnowsza odsłona systemu operacyjnego BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0.1.668.

PlayBook 4G od czasu do czasu pojawiał się na łamach Tabletowo.pl, za każdym razem serwując większą ilość informacji o sobie. Specyfikację i wygląd (niemalże identyczny do poprzedniej generacji tabletu) poznaliśmy już kilka miesięcy temu, ale warto ją przypomnieć. Największą zaletą nowego PlayBooka jest modem superszybkiej sieci komórkowej HSPA+/4G LTE (konfiguracja różni się w zależności od regionu), dwurdzeniowy procesor TI OMAP 4460 o częstotliwości taktowania zegara 1,5GHz, wsparcie dla technologii NFC umożliwiającej płatności zbliżeniowe i łatwe parowanie z akcesoriami oraz najnowszy system operacyjny BlackBerry PlayBook OS. Na karcie specyfikacji tabletu BlackBerry PlayBook 4G widnieje także 7-calowy ekran dotykowy o rozdzielczości 1024 x 600 pikseli, 1GB RAM, 32GB pamięci wewnętrznej, aparat cyfrowy 5 Mpix, kamera internetowa 3 Mpix, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, wyjście miniHDMI, akcelerometr, żyroskop oraz standardowy zestaw czujników. Cena tabletu ma wynosić 550 dolarów, choć nie zostało to potwierdzone. 9 sierpnia urządzenie pojawi się w ofertach kanadyjskich operatorów Bell, Rogers i Telus.

Wspominając o systemie operacyjnym BlackBerry PlayBook OS, warto wspomnieć, że doczekał się on aktualizacji. Nowa, opatrzona numerem 2.0.1.668 wersja zawiera kilka poprawek błędów, ale na dokładniejszą listę wprowadzonych zmian przyjdzie nam jeszcze zapomnieć.
